i keep trying to think of a metric that works and it all just doesnt
turns out the only way to guarantee someone actually does their job well is to… ensure they enjoy doing it and are fairly rewarded when they go above and beyond on something (maybe make something like a bounty system for fixing long standing problems, but also just… actually pay more for someone doing overtime or working on a holiday or weekend)
note how capitalism is vehemently opposed to all of these solutions, thats because it inherently requires exploitation
